7. Sada Abe
Sada Abe was a Japanese woman, a Geisha and prostitute. She is remembered for murdering her lover Kichizo Ishida , on May 18, 1936, by cutting off his penis and testicles and carrying them around in her purse for 3 days before she was caught. She explained to the police that she had tried to have sex with the severed organs but for some reason it just did not work.
At about 2 AM on the morning of 18 May 1936, Abe wrapped her obi sash twice around Ishida’s neck as he slept and strangled him to death. She lay with his body for several hours, then severed his genitalia with a kitchen knife, wrapped them in a magazine cover and kept them in her purse. With his blood, Abe wrote “Sada, Kichi Futari-kiri” or “Sada, Kichi together,” on his left thigh and carved the Japanese character for “Sada” into his left arm. She then put on Ishida’s underwear and left the inn.
6. Assassination of Abraham Lincoln.
Abraham Lincoln, the 16th President of the United States, was assassinated by well-known stage actor John Wilkes Booth on April 14, 1865, while attending the play Our American Cousin at Ford’s Theatre in Washington, D.C.
Shot in the head as he watched the play, Lincoln died the following day at 7:22 a.m., in the Petersen House opposite the theater. He was the first American president to be assassinated; his funeral and burial marked an extended period of national mourning.
5. Al Capone
Infamous American crime czar Al “Scarface” Capone was once king of the Chicago rackets. A Prohibition-era gangster, he ruled a multimillion-dollar empire in the 1920s that was fueled by illegal booze, gambling and prostitution. Capone is also suspected of being the mastermind behind the 1929 Saint Valentine’s Day Massacre in Lincoln Park that left seven of his enemies dead. Capone’s reign as ruler of Chicago’s gangland ended in 1931 when he pleaded guilty to tax evasion and prohibition charges. After serving seven years and six months in federal prison, which included a stay at Alcatraz, Capone was paroled on Nov. 16, 1939. By that time, however, he suffered from paresis derived from syphilis. Capone went into seclusion at an estate near Miami, Fla., where he died of a stroke and pneumonia on Jan. 25, 1947.

Charles Sobhraj is known as “The Serpent both for his penchant for poisoning his victims, finishing them off only when they are too weak to fight back, and for his uncanny skill as an escape artist. Between 1975 and 1976, Sobrhraj killed 20 people along the “hippie trail” that winds it’s way through Asia. He would befriend the peace loving western tourists and poison them pills and powders before strangling them or burning them alive. He was escaped at least five times from different, using his concoctions to poison his guards.
3. Gilles De Rais
Gilles De Rais is said to be the father of serial killing. During the 1400’s, he was a captain in St. Joan of Arc’s army. He also captured, tortured, raped and murdered at least 80 children, but given his rank and power some estimate the number to be 200 or even as high as 600. He would lure the children in with candies and then torture them for his own sexual pleasure. He would eventually kill them, making sure to sit on them so he could feel them dying. He also enjoyed bathing in their blood. Afterward he would go to his family church and rub ash on himself, tear his cloth and whip himself as an act of asking forgiveness for his deeds.
2. Dennis Linsen
In the early 1980’s a British man named Dennis Linsen would lure boys and young men to his flat and they’d never be heard from again. Linsen would invite them up for sex and company, strangle them to death and lay their bodies in bed with him until the corpse was completely rotten, supposedly as a way to alleviate his insane loneliness. He was eventually caught by his neighbours when they found human flesh that blocked the pipe from his room.
1. Judith Eva Barsi
10-year old American child actress Judith Eva Barsi and her mother were shot by her father; József Istvan Barsi, in 1988 after years of suffering severe physical and mental abuse Judith was last seen riding her bike on the morning of July 25, 1988. That evening, József shot her in the head while she was sleeping, and then murdered Maria. He spent the next two days wandering around the house, and said during a phone conversation with Judith’s agent the next night that he intended to move out for good, and just needed time to “say goodbye to my little girl.” He then poured gasoline on the bodies and set them on fire. After incinerating the bodies, he went to the garage and shot himself in the head with a .32 caliber pistol.
